Heavy rainfall and periods of drought are increasing in Europe. Roads can be adapted to the changing circumstances. How to make roads more climate resilient and at the same time contribute to the local water demand? This question is raised in the EU funded project Rural-Roadwater-Rescue, a collaboration of six European organizations.
This survey helps our international strategy
The first challenge is to build a strategy to have roads contribute to local water demands. A strategy to realize locations near roads to clean, store and distribute roadwater: so-called Climate Adaptive Waterhubs.
The strategy will as much as possible be built on the knowledge and expertise already existing. Therefore, we developed a survey (https://forms.office.com/r/fydLQZpQ4x) and hope you will find the time to fill it out. This will approximately take 15 minutes of your time. Translations of the survey (English language) are available in French, German and Dutch (see below). The results of the survey will be made available to you. We hope to receive your response before September 20. We appreciate if you distribute the survey to your expert network.
More information can be found on the website Rural_Roadwater_Rescue (nweurope.eu). You can contact us on ruralroadwaterrescue@rws.nl.
We are looking forward to your answer. It certainly will improve our project. Thank you!
Kind regards,
